Old Village Inn Restaurant in Morgantown

Arrived at 5pm. Restaurant empty! I got spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs had obviously been frozen for sometime. Had a rubbery taste and texture. Noodles were undercooked and, again, had a rubbery consistency. The wife got something that resembled fish. Overcooked and dry. Did I mention the place was empty?! Take your eating dollars elseware!

In the past month I have eaten here for one lunch and two dinners and each meal has been excellent. I have food allergies and the chef altered a meal to avoid my allergy and it was excellent!! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The food is above excellent. If I lived in the area, I would eat here at least once a week! I highly recommend this restaurant. Can't wait to eat here again. The specials are awesome.

This place is dismal. The walkway and entry is unkept and falling apart. The pervasive smell of cigarette smoke hits you the moment you open the door and just about knocks you over. The bar tender was disheveled and unfriendly. Our waitress was nice enough. The interior is carpeted and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Don't let the picture fool you. It does NOT look even that good. We left before ordering because if the uncleanliness and condition. The owners obviously don't care.

Variety of choices, delicious food, attentive wait staff, large portions, not crowded. Only downside was that we could smell the smoke from the bar.

I have been in Morgantown PA for a week I have eaten 4 meals here amazing food friendly staff and very reasonably priced I highly recommended the seafood bisque

Nice "small town " feel. Where everybody knows your name. I had the chicken parmigiana. It was great. Big, thick chicken. Perfect pasta, sauce was great. Only down side for me is the parking. I do plan on going back next year. I only visit the area once a year.

Staff was nice. Service a bit rushed. Was on the empty side upon arrival, but filled up quickly. Karaoke night on Fridays if that's your thing. Good food.

Well, the food was better than I expected by quite a margin, but the dining room still reeked of cigarettes, even after <howevermany> years of being smoke free! I suspect the carpets are the culprit, but not sure. Unfortunate.

Out for a sunday drive, starving, needing an adult beverage. Companion asks, should we stop here? Heck yes! Cozy local establishment with surprisingly good food. The sweet chili shrimp wrap exceeded our expectations. Portion was large enough to share and the shrimp were fresh and plump. There is a smoking section and non as well.

Great place to stop for food and beverage while out on a ride.

Great bar and restaurant. Live music Saturday nights. Must check out, especially for some live and local music. Say hello and meet the owner and some of their great local patrons!

A friendly local little bar. My wife and I always have a good time here.

Local kook always one in the crowd looking for a fight. He was obviously inbred and must've been rabid and pissed off. Cool place otherwise. Their disgruntled patron is probably costing them money.

This is our very favorite bar! The crowd is always fun and the staff is great. They do allow smoking inside so keep that in mind. One of my favorite aspects is the live music as well as the multiple rooms (one of which has a fireplace) you can traverse around!

I gave a 3 star for mainly the food, Food was good my wings was great. But i did not give a 5 star because the place that i ate at smelled really bad, Felt like i was eating in a ash tray.

I didn't realize there were still smoking bars. Unless you are a smoker the smell was putrid. The bathroom was small, dark and creepy. They did however have a non smoking bar but they had to get all their drinks from the smoking side which brought the smoke smell wafting in. The decor was rustic and we'll done and the staff was friendly enough. They need to modernize and update a little, until then I won't be back.

Been going on and off for years. Decent prices and drinks. Plus the wings are good.

The bartenders are great. I love going to the OVI. I always have a good time. There are really nice people coming in and out. Management is hospitable and the drinks and food are great. I highly recommend this bar.

The main attraction is the tavern upstairs and it is a "bar" in the truest sense of the word. The beer and food is better than most places of the same cut, but sadly for for non-smokers the visit will likely be unbearable. The smoke is thick and there's zero attempt to provide ventilation. I am unsure why they don't at least install an exhaust fan. Karaoke night is well attended and a lot of fun, but non-locals will not receive a warm welcome. The downstairs restaurant looks quaint, but haven't had a chance to eat dinner there yet.

Great place in Morgantown.The bar can be Very smoky...There's other Areas,you can go though.The food is great....And fairly priced.They have a restaurant area ,to eat diner...good stuff

Food was ok. Bathroom was not. Atmosphere was very old & dark. Wouldn't go back.

Crabby fries and beer sooo good!! So many beers so little time. Going to need to make more trips to try more food and beer.😁

Food was not good at all. Salad was, I guess old, just wilted and gross. The burger was bland and the fries were barely cooked. Bar service was not much better. Pass.

Good food and drinks!

My favorite place to grab a drink. Family owned, well priced drinks, good food, good music (touch tunes jukebox and dj/karaoke on weekends), great staff/owners, friendly patrons and fun atmosphere. Almost never completely dead/boring but not over crowded either. The main bar area allows smoking, has a pool table, electronic dartboard, and atleast 5 different slot machine screens or you can go out to the patio to enjoy the night air while still enjoying the music, drinks and food. They also have a separate non-smoking, family friendly, dining room with another pool table.

Very warm and old style environment. Good food and friendly staff. Only complaint is food is a little pricey.

Old tavern, now seems to be a hang out for locals and the biker crowd. Food was good. Dining area is dark with dated fixtures, tables etc. When we first walked in the place had a stale odor and I almost suggested we go somewhere else but the food was good enough to make me glad we stayed

Good food for a good price. Nice local place to get a drink, shoot some pool and relax. Will be back next year when I am in the area.

Fast service, good food

This used to be much better when we first moved here 20 years ago. It has steadily gone downhill since. Wait staff has to serve both the bar and the restaurant, so you wind up waiting a long time to be served. Food was not nearly as good as it used to be. I don't think we'll be back.

Awesome food and awesome waitresses!! The open face chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes and tomato soup are delicious!! Great atmosphere!!

Good happy hour friendly bartender. A little smoky one of the few bars that still allow smoking.

Stopped there today as we were driving by looking for a place to eat. Server was really nice. Limited menu and bottled beer only had a burger, grilled chicken sandwich, and a grilled cheese. All good.
